The Specializing Master Course in Transportation & Automobile Design, offered by the Politecnico di Milano Design School, is devised jointly with Volkswagen Group Design.

Volkswagen designers suggest every year to the students a project topic and supply specialized teaching contents. Volkswagen Group Design oversees design progress and selects the most promising students for internships at its style centres.

The Transportation and Automobile Design Master’s program is a pathway to excellence for those who seek scientifically rigorous training to meet the professional challenges that automakers’ design departments are facing up in this era of far-reaching change and radical innovation in the industry.

2018 TOPIC

During the ninth edition of the TAD Master course, 4 Distances: new e-form languages for future distances has been the topic assigned by Audi Design to the students.

This is a challenging point of view of the increasing importance of full electric vehicles, communicating their typical shapes, but keeping alive the strong Audi language.

As well known, currently the most challenging part of any electric vehicle is the autonomy, so the projects have been developed starting from the needs of categories of people that typically move on different range of distances, inside and outside cities.
